Vitamin D in patients with psoriasis compared with healthy individuals or with other diseases: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder. Vitamin D is an inhibitor of dendritic cells acting as an immune modulator; therefore, vitamin D deficiency could explain the increased incidence of psoriasis. The aim of this study was to compare serum vitamin D levels in patients with psoriasis and healthy individuals.

Groundcherry (Physalis grisea) is a plant species grown for its flavorful fruit. The fruit drops from the plant, hence the common name groundcherry. This makes harvest cumbersome and puts the fruit at risk for carrying soil‐borne pathogens, therefore making them unsellable. Furthermore, insects often damage the plants, reducing yield.
