Complicated Plasmodium vivax infection with malarial hepatopathy and splenic abscess
Malaria is a serious health burden in the tropical countries. Jaundice is a known manifestation of complicated falciparum malaria but is unusual with Plasmodium vivax infection. Only a few cases of vivax malarial hepatopathy have been reported till date.

Solar Geoengineering Effects on Malaria Transmission Risk in South Asia Under G6sulfur Scenario
Comparison of EIR (unit: No of infected bites per person per day) for each considered country in South Asia, under the considered scenarios, averaged over the period 2020–2090. A regression equation is shown for each country (for Bhutan EIRG = 0.1690 × 10−10 EIRS + 0.5968 × 10−12) to illustrate the projected trend.

Evaluation of Three Rapid Tests for Diagnosis of P. Falciparum and P. Vivax Malaria in Colombia. [PDF]
The diagnostic capacity of three malaria rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs), NOW-Malaria-ICT, OptiMAL-IT, and Paracheck-Pf, was evaluated against expert microscopy in Colombia. We tested 896 patients, of whom microscopy confirmed 139 P.

Crystal structure of Plasmodium vivax macrophage migration inhibitory factor
The production, crystallization and 1.8 Å resolution crystal structure of macrophage migratory inhibitory factor from P. vivax are reported.Plasmodium vivax is a major cause of malaria globally and has recently been transmitted locally in the USA. P. vivax produces homologs of host proteins, including cytokines such as macrophage migration inhibitory ...
