Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Gaussian integral method for void fraction

open access: yesParticuology
A novel method, the Gaussian Integral Method (GIM), is presented for calculating void fractions in Computational Fluid Dynamics-Discrete Element Method (CFD-DEM) simulations. GIM is versatile and applicable to various grid types, including structured and unstructured polyhedral meshes, without requiring special boundary treatments.

Void fraction measurement in cryogenic flows. Part II: Void fraction capacitive sensor performances in chilldown experiments [PDF]

open access: yesCryogenics, 2018
Abstract This manuscript describes the work performed on void fraction measurements a cryogenic flow by means of a customized capacitive sensor. In a preceding activity, described in Part I, the instrument was developed and validated at room conditions.

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Review and Evaluation of Slip-ratio-based Void Fraction Prediction Models

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu
Void fraction is an important parameter in gas-liquid two-phase flow, which is closely related to the flow pattern, pressure drop, and heat transfer of the flow field.

ECT and LS-SVM Based Void Fraction Measurement of Oil-Gas Two-Phase Flow [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2010
A method based on Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) and an improved Least Squares Support Vector Machine (LS-SVM) is proposed for void fraction measurement of oil-gas two-phase flow.

Pressure drop and average void fraction measurements for two-phase flow through highly permeable porous media [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The modeling of pressure drop for two-phase flows through porous media is a key point to assess the coolability of debris beds resulting from nuclear severe accidents. Models involve several parameters which are non-linear functions of the void fraction,

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve
