Volatile components in Andalusian vinegars
Zeitschrift für Lebensmittel-Untersuchung und -Forschung, 1987The volatile fraction of different wine vinegars from Andalusia was studied, using gas chromatography. The identification of the peaks was based on the internal standard method. An outstanding content of volatile components was observed. High amounts were obtained for ethyl and methyl acetate as well as for isoamyl alcohols, which are the ...

Volatile components of violet leaves
Phytochemistry, 1992Abstract Volatile components of violet leaves were extracted with 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane as well as hexane and analysed using GC, GC-MS and GC-FTIR. Quantitatively, the yields of leave solids varied greatly according to the experimental parameters. Qualitatively, the chemical composition differs with respect to the solvent used.

Volatile components of purple starthistle
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1990Volatile components of purple starthistle (Centaurea calcitrapa L.) flowerhead buds, flowers, leaves, and stems were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Of the 54 compounds identified, 49 were not previously reported in purple starthistle.

Volatile components of Manchego cheese
Journal of Dairy Research, 1991SummaryVolatile components of four batches of Manchego cheese were studied throughout their ripening process. Samples were submitted to a micro simultaneous distillation-extraction procedure, and then analysed by capillary gas chromatography (GC) and combined GC and mass spectrometry.

Component-Driven Regime-Switching Volatility
Journal of Financial Econometrics, 2012We develop a new class of regime-switching volatility models that are characterized by high-dimensional state spaces, parsimonious transition matrices, and ARMA dynamics for the log volatility process. This combination of features is achieved by assuming that we can decompose the Markov chain that describes regime dynamics into a number of two-state ...

Sampler of volatile components

Modelling Different Volatility Components
2002This paper considers simultaneous modelling of seasonality, slowly changing un- conditional variance and conditional heteroskedasticity in high-frequency fiancial returns. A new approach, called a seasonal SEMIGARCH model, is proposed to perform this by introducing multiplicative seasonal and trend components into the GARCH model.
