Component-Driven Regime-Switching Volatility

Journal of Financial Econometrics, 2012
We develop a new class of regime-switching volatility models that are characterized by high-dimensional state spaces, parsimonious transition matrices, and ARMA dynamics for the log volatility process. This combination of features is achieved by assuming that we can decompose the Markov chain that describes regime dynamics into a number of two-state ...

Sampler of volatile components

2002

Modelling Different Volatility Components

2002
This paper considers simultaneous modelling of seasonality, slowly changing un- conditional variance and conditional heteroskedasticity in high-frequency fiancial returns. A new approach, called a seasonal SEMIGARCH model, is proposed to perform this by introducing multiplicative seasonal and trend components into the GARCH model.

[Volatile components of herbal Cynomorii].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 1990
The volatile components were obtained from Herba Cynomorii for the first time (yield 0.02%). These components were analysed by TLC and GC-MS. Twenty-two compounds, including the main components hexadecanoic acid and 9-octadecenoic acid, were identified. Their percent contents were given.
