Volatile components of jute sacks
Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, 1975AbstractThe vacuum steam volatile oil from jute sacks has been analysed by capillary gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. Thirty‐four compounds were characterised with some certainty, and some information obtained about an additional 36. The major volatile components were dimethylnaphthalenes.

Volatile components of purple starthistle
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1990Volatile components of purple starthistle (Centaurea calcitrapa L.) flowerhead buds, flowers, leaves, and stems were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Of the 54 compounds identified, 49 were not previously reported in purple starthistle.

Volatile components of violet leaves
Phytochemistry, 1992Abstract Volatile components of violet leaves were extracted with 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane as well as hexane and analysed using GC, GC-MS and GC-FTIR. Quantitatively, the yields of leave solids varied greatly according to the experimental parameters. Qualitatively, the chemical composition differs with respect to the solvent used.

Volatility components, leverage effects, and the return–volatility relations
Journal of Banking & Finance, 2011Abstract This paper investigates the risk-return trade-off by taking into account the model specification problem. Market volatility is modeled to have two components, one due to the diffusion risk and the other due to the jump risk. The model implies Merton’s ICAPM in the absence of leverage effects, whereas the return–volatility relations are ...
