Faradaic charging with bromine redox chemistry shows promise for energy storage, yet its efficient use in aqueous electrolytes is hindered by water decomposition and polybromides' cross‐diffusion, leading to suboptimal cell performance. This study introduces a tetrabutylammonium bromide‐based hydrated deep eutectic electrolyte with optimized water ...

A Strong and Water‐Retaining Biomass Adhesive Inspired by Tofu
Drawing inspiration from the formation mechanism of the traditional food tofu, a strong and water‐retaining adhesive is designed using the soybean meal (SM) oxidized by glucose oxidase (GOx) and calcium sulfate oligomer (CSO). This design strategy effectively addresses the conflicting requirements of water‐resistant bonding strength and water retention

Cross-sectional Dependence in Idiosyncratic Volatility [PDF]
This paper introduces an econometric framework for analyzing cross-sectional dependence in the idiosyncratic volatilities of assets using high frequency data. We first consider the estimation of standard measures of dependence in the idiosyncratic volatilities such as covariances and correlations.

This study introduces a paper‐based biodegradable, humidity‐insensitive e‐nose for real‐time breath analysis, addressing challenges in existing technologies such as humidity interference, high costs, and environmental impact. Featuring hydrophobic polymer coatings, these sensors reliably detect VOCs even in high‐moisture environments.

Option Pricing under Fast-varying and Rough Stochastic Volatility [PDF]
Recent empirical studies suggest that the volatilities associated with financial time series exhibit short-range correlations. This entails that the volatility process is very rough and its autocorrelation exhibits sharp decay at the origin. Another classic stylistic feature often assumed for the volatility is that it is mean reverting.

Ru‐substituted hexagonal perovskite SrMnO3, featuring face‐shared oxygen species, is designed as an effective heterogeneous catalyst for the aerobic oxidation of sulfides. The catalyst demonstrates high selectivity to sulfones (>99%) under mild reaction conditions (≥30 °C). Ru substitution promotes oxygen vacancy formation of face‐shared oxygen species

Analyzing Highly Volatile Driving Trips Taken by Alternative Fuel Vehicles [PDF]
Volatile driving, characterized by fluctuations in speed and accelerations and aggressive lane changing/merging, is known to contribute to transportation crashes. To fully understand driving volatility with the intention of reducing it, the objective of this study is to identify its key correlates, while focusing on highly volatile trips.
