Study on the Causes for ICP-MS Signal Intensity Declination of Os Water Absorption Liquid

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2018
BACKGROUND Os can be separated from the sample matrix by distillation, and the absorbing liquid can be introduced into ICP-MS directly, which is a key step of the molybdenite Re-Os isotopic age analysis.

Distribution of soil selenium in China is potentially controlled by deposition and volatilization?

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2016
Elucidating the environmental drivers of selenium (Se) spatial distribution in soils at a continental scale is essential to better understand it’s biogeochemical cycling to improve Se transfer into diets.

A simple joint model for returns, volatility and volatility of volatility

open access: yesJournal of Econometrics, 2023
Abstract We propose a model that allows for conditional heteroskedasticity in the volatility of asset returns and incorporates current return information into the volatility nowcast and forecast. Our model can capture all stylised facts of asset returns even with Gaussian innovations and is simple to implement.

Rejected Sago Starch as a Coating Material to Mitigate Urea-Nitrogen Emission

open access: yesAgronomy, 2022
Urea–nitrogen is commonly lost through ammonia (NH3) volatilization, denitrification, and nitrate (NO3−) leaching. Rejected sago starch (RSS), which is a by-product of sago flour extraction, could be used to minimize NH3 volatilization from urea.

Zinc and lead recovery from jarosite residues produced in zinc hydrometallurgy by vacuum reduction and distillation

open access: yesGreen Processing and Synthesis, 2018
Jarosite residues in zinc hydrometallurgy are considered as hazardous waste as they contain heavy metals such as Zn and Pb. A novel vacuum reduction and distillation process has been put forward to recover Zn and Pb from jarosite residues.

Effects of biochar application on nitrogen leaching, ammonia volatilization and nitrogen use efficiency in two distinct soils

open access: yes, 2017
This study was conducted to determine the effect of biochar application on nitrogen (N) leaching, ammonia (NH3) volatilization, and fertilizer N use efficiency (NUE) in two soils with different properties (loamy and sandy).

The memory of volatility [PDF]

open access: yesQuantitative Finance and Economics, 2018
The focus of the volatility literature on forecasting and the predominance of the conceptually simpler HAR model over long memory stochastic volatility models has led to the fact that the actual degree of memory estimates has rarely been considered. Estimates in the literature range roughly between 0.4 and 0.6 - that is from the higher stationary to ...

Assessment of Ammonia Volatilization Losses and Nitrogen Utilization during the Rice Growing Season in Alkaline Salt-Affected Soils

open access: yes, 2017
The objectives of this study were to evaluate the effects of different fertilizer types and application rates on ammonia volatilization loss and to explore nitrogen distribution and nitrogen use efficiency using the 15N isotope tracing technique in ...

Fate of allelochemicals in the soil Destino de aleloquímicos no solo

open access: yesCiência Rural, 1997
Allelochemicals are compounds released by one plant or plant residues that may have a negative or positive effect on other plant. The importance of allelopathy was extensively explored during the past three decades, with the work concentrating in the ...
