Flash Assembloids: A Rapid Biofabrication of a Platform for Modeling Early Glioblastoma Invasion at the Glioblastoma–Brain Organoid Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a bioengineered assembloid (ASM) system combining glioblastoma (GBM) cells in oxidized alginate (OA) microgels with dorsal organoids (DOs). This model simulates brain tumor‐host interactions, revealing enhanced GBM invasion, altered gene expression, and aggressive infiltration patterns, demonstrating ASM as a valuable platform for ...

Evaluation of Support Types of Volcanic Clastic Sand and Gravels Based on Electrical Imaging Logging

open access: yesCejing jishu, 2023
The combined effect of river transport and volcanic action during the deposition of volcanic clastic sand conglomerate causes large variations in rock grain size and complex pore structure of different grain size combinations, which affects the reservoir

Perivascular Matrix Densification Dysregulates Angiogenesis and Activates Pro‐Inflammatory Endothelial Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

Unraveling the Molecular Mechanisms Underlying Spontaneous Multipolar Mitosis Through CIN‐seq

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multipolar mitosis, a hallmark of chromosomal instability (CIN), drives tumor heterogeneity but is challenging to study in live cells. Using CIN‐seq, a single‐cell multiomics method, we profiled rare CIN events and identified mechanisms associated with viable multipolar mitosis, including PTEN attenuation, Rho GTPase‐driven cytokinesis failure, and ...

Comparison of geochemical characteristics and forming environment of volcanic rocks in Northern Xinjiang and the Songliao Basin, China

open access: yesJournal of Natural Gas Geoscience, 2017
The tectonic settings of Northern Xinjiang, Songliao Basin, and its peripheral areas all belong to the Paleoasian orogenic region. Their main structures are all composed of multiple continental segments and peripheral fold belts. Similar tectonic setting

Rhyolitic Ash Promoting Organic Matter Enrichment in a Shallow Carbonate Platform: A Case Study of the Maokou Formation in Eastern Sichuan Basin

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2022
Volcanic ash improves the amount of nutritive elements in the lake and ocean, but it is not fully understood how volcanic ash influences the total organic matter content (TOC) and bio-precursor, and the scope.

The Microbial Habitability of Weathered Volcanic Glass Inferred from Continuous Sensing Techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Basaltic glasses (hyaloclastite) are a widespread habitat for life in volcanic environments, yet their interior physical conditions are poorly characterized.

Inhibition of SIRT7 Overcomes Radioresistance in Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors by Reactivating MEN1 Expression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors frequently silence MEN1 through epigenetic mechanisms. Here, SIRT7 recruits DNMT1 to the MEN1 promoter, drives hypermethylation, and enhances DNA repair. Inhibiting SIRT7 restores MEN1, reduces MRN complex abundance, impairs double‐strand break repair, and sensitizes PanNET models to radiation, supporting SIRT7 as a ...

Cigarette Smoke‐Induced Alveolar Macrophage Senescence via GEM/SIRT3‐Mediated Mitochondrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cigarette smoke accelerates the aging of immune cells in the lung. By combining human single‐cell sequencing, cell culture, and mouse models, the authors show that the protein GEM drives mitochondrial damage and senescence in alveolar macrophages by suppressing SIRT3.
