Tunable Voltage-Mode Subthreshold CMOS Neuron

2020 IEEE Computer Society Annual Symposium on VLSI (ISVLSI), 2020
To address the ever-increasing computational demands of machine learning applications, neuromorphic computing has emerged as a possible solution. The goal is to design a platform able to mimic the processing strategies of the brain. A neuromorphic system is composed by artificial neurons and synapses implemented in hardware with high level of ...

Voltage-Mode Ferroelectric Synapse for Neuromorphic Computing

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2023
Ferroelectric materials with a modulable polarization extent hold promise for exploring voltage-driven neuromorphic hardware, in which direct current flow can be minimized. Utilizing a single active layer of an insulating ferroelectric polymer, we developed a voltage-mode ferroelectric synapse that can continuously and reversibly update its states. The

Voltage Mode Doherty Power Amplifier

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 2017
This paper presents a new wideband Doherty amplifier technique that can achieve high efficiency while maintaining excellent linearity. By modifying a “forgotten” topology originally proposed by Doherty, a new Doherty amplifier architecture is realized with two voltage mode power amplifiers (PAs) and transformers, thus eliminating a narrowband impedance

CMOS voltage-mode analog multiplier

2006 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2006
This paper proposes a CMOS voltage-mode four-quadrant analog multiplier. It is based on a pair of diode-connected MOS transistor that is biased with a constant current source, and a CMOS voltage difference circuit. Simulation results shows that the linear range is /spl plusmn/400 mV with the linearity error of 0.8% and the harmonic distortion of 0.62%.

Voltage-mode defuzzification circuits

International Journal of Electronics, 1994
The defuzzification interface is an important building block of a fuzzy logic controller (FLC). In this paper we describe two major methods for defuzzification and suitable analogue implementations for voltage-mode operation. A full rail-to-rail voliage range can be obiained using a fixed gain amplifier. SPICE simulations are presenied for each circuit.

Voltage mode OTA based KHN filter

2012 IEEE 55th International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2012
Second order filter structures have widespread applications. They are also used in realization of higher order filter. Among the second order filters, KHN (Kerwin, Huelsman, and Newcomb) filter is used as a reference while designing second order filters with other active elements.
