Sensitive and selective glutathione determination in probiotic bacteria by capillary electrophoresis - laser induced fluorescence

open access: yes, 2007
Glutathione (GSH) is a thiol playing an important role in tissue protection against oxidative stress, which has been also related to carcinogenesis in the colon; from this point of view, the development of probiotic species producing glutathione could be

Immunoaffinity‐Based Protocol to Enrich Nervous System Cell‐, Lung Alveolar Cell‐, and Hepatocyte‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles From Human Plasma

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Biology, Volume 5, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT By preserving molecular information inherited from the source cell, extracellular vesicles (EVs) can serve as biomarkers for tissue health or disease, paving the way for liquid biopsy applications. The enrichment of tissue‐specific EVs (TS‐EVs) from human biofluids can be challenging due to technical and methodological limitations.

A longitudinal study of radiodensity and radiographic appearance of the proximal sesamoid bones in Thoroughbred racehorses

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, Volume 58, Issue 4, Page 946-958, July 2026.
Abstract Background There are limited data on long‐term follow‐up of radiographic changes of the proximal sesamoid bones (PSBs) in Thoroughbred racehorses. The effect of training and racing on radiodensity of the PSBs in live Thoroughbreds has not been described.

PROTAC‑Mediated HMGCR Depletion Reprograms Lipid Metabolism in Breast Cancer to Potentiate Photoimmunotherapy via Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
This work introduces a study that identifies HMGCR as a novel target in TNBC and develops a light‐gated PROTAC nanomedicine. Upon irradiation, this agent selectively degrades HMGCR, reprogramming lipid metabolism to induce ferroptosis and potent antitumor immunity, thereby significantly enhancing photoimmunotherapy efficacy.

T‐Cell‐Derived Exosomes From Multi Core Granules Exhibit Superior Caspase‐3‐Mediated Tumor‐Suppressive Activity Compared to Those From Multivesicular Bodies

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) derived from cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) are emerging as potential mediators of antitumor immunity; however, their subcellular origins and functional properties remain incompletely defined. In this study, we investigated the intracellular routes and cytotoxic potential of CTL‐derived exosomes.
