Voltage gain of a resonant dielectric amplifier
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, Part I: Communication and Electronics, 1955The gain of the resonant-circuit dielectric amplifier can be obtained directly from the slope of a characteristic which is called the tuning curve. When the carrier voltage across the nonlinear capacitor is small, the shape of the tuning curve can be computed by linear circuit analysis.

Voltage gain optimization of transmission line transformers
The European Physical Journal Applied Physics, 2003Transmission Line Transformers (TLT) based on the use of ferrite beads are presented. This work aims at optimising the performance of the voltage gain and the compactness of the TLT according to the position, the type and the number of ferrites used. The ferrites have been selected taking into account two main parameters: the maximum currents flowing ...

Interleaved-Boost Converter With High Voltage Gain
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2010This paper presents an interleaved-boost converter, magnetically coupled to a voltage-doubler circuit, which provides a voltage gain far higher than that of the conventional boost topology. Besides, this converter has low-voltage stress across the switches, natural-voltage balancing between output capacitors, low-input current ripple, and magnetic ...

A Gain-Enhancing Technique for Very Low-Voltage Amplifiers
2008 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2008In this paper we present a gain enhancement technique for very low-voltage deep sub-micron amplifiers based on the use of a CCH-based negative impedance converter. Relaxed specifications on the current conveyor allow an easy implementation of this technique in a sub-1 V environment, where common topologies such as the cascode and the differential pair ...

Quadratic Boost DC–DC Converter With High Voltage Gain and Reduced Voltage Stresses
IEEE transactions on power electronics, 2019This paper proposes a quadratic boost dc–dc converter with a high voltage gain and reduced voltage stresses. The conventional quadratic boost converter has a limited voltage gain, which is not suitable for high-step-up applications with various ...

Low-voltage compact CMOS variable gain amplifier
AEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2008Abstract A compact low-power low-voltage CMOS variable gain amplifier (VGA) is proposed. The proposed circuit merges a source-degenerated transconductance amplifier with a current-mode transimpedance amplifier, which renders voltage gain control with constant bandwidth.
