MPC-Based Coordinated Voltage Regulation for Distribution Networks With Distributed Generation and Energy Storage System

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, 2019
This paper presents a model predictive control (MPC)-based coordinated voltage control scheme for distribution networks with high penetration of distributed generation (DG) and energy storage.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Distributed Averaging Control for Voltage Regulation and Current Sharing in DC Microgrids

open access: yesIEEE Control Systems Letters, 2019
In this letter we propose a new distributed control scheme, achieving current sharing and average voltage regulation in direct current (dc) microgrids. The considered dc microgrid is composed of several distributed generation units (DGUs) interconnected ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Voltage and reactive power coordinated control strategy for flexible on-load tap changer

open access: yes电力工程技术
As the increasing proportion of renewable energy and power electronic devices in the power grid, voltage fluctuations are becoming frequent. In response to the current voltage regulation and reactive power compensation requirements of the distribution ...

An Improved Control Strategy for Three-Phase Power Inverters in Islanded AC Microgrids

open access: yesInventions, 2018
Microgrids (MGs) are composed of multiple distributed generators (DGs) interfaced to micronetwork through paralleled connected power inverters (PIs). Load sharing among multiple DG units is an important task for autonomous operation of microgrids.

Coordinated Control of Active and Reactive Power Compensation for Voltage Regulation with Enhanced Disturbance Rejection Using Repetitive Vector-Control

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
Voltage profile is one of many aspects that affect power quality in low-voltage distribution feeders. Weak grids have a typically high line impedance which results in remarkable voltage drops.

Molecular bases of circadian magnesium rhythms across eukaryotes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Circadian rhythms in intracellular [Mg2+] exist across eukaryotic kingdoms. Central roles for Mg2+ in metabolism suggest that Mg2+ rhythms could regulate daily cellular energy and metabolism. In this Perspective paper, we propose that ancestral prokaryotic transport proteins could be responsible for mediating Mg2+ rhythms and posit a feedback model ...

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...
