A voltage regulation method for active power reserve-based grid-forming photovoltaic inverters
The increasing penetration of distributed photovoltaic (PV) systems in low-voltage distribution areas has led to growing voltage violations due to source-load mismatch and inadequate reactive power support.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Voltage and reactive power coordinated control strategy for flexible on-load tap changer
As the increasing proportion of renewable energy and power electronic devices in the power grid, voltage fluctuations are becoming frequent. In response to the current voltage regulation and reactive power compensation requirements of the distribution ...

An Improved Control Strategy for Three-Phase Power Inverters in Islanded AC Microgrids
Microgrids (MGs) are composed of multiple distributed generators (DGs) interfaced to micronetwork through paralleled connected power inverters (PIs). Load sharing among multiple DG units is an important task for autonomous operation of microgrids.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The structure of a voltage gated potassium channel
Voltage gated potassium channels (Kv channels) are tetrameric ion channels, responsible for regulating the potassium component of the membrane potential in a large range of cell types ranging from mammalian excitable cells to bacteria. Attempts have been

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

A state-based potential game approach for distributed voltage regulation in distribution networks
With the increasing penetration rate of renewable energy sources over recent years, voltage fluctuations and violations due to the inherent intermittency of renewable energy sources pose a great challenge to the safe and steady operation of distribution ...
