Asymmetrical Two-Phase Induction Motor Using Two-Leg Voltage Source Inverter (VSI)
2018 Second International Conference on Computing Methodologies and Communication (ICCMC), 2018The Two-Phase Induction motor is the need of today’s era. The single-Phase induction motor (SPIM) is compressively used with single phase supply but could not be self-starting. This paper has a carrier-based PWM method to generate Two-phase supply to drive Asymmetrical Induction motor with two-leg voltage source inverter (VSI).

Fractional-Order control of voltage source inverter (VSI) using Bode's ideal transfer function
2014 International Conference on Circuits, Systems, Communication and Information Technology Applications (CSCITA), 2014Fractional-Order (FO) control is applied in this paper in the area of power electronics for voltage source inverter (VSI). The reference system is Bode's ideal transfer function. Modified Oustaloup's Recursive Approximation (ORA) is used to approximate FO integrator.

1Common-mode voltage produced by voltage source inverters is of great concern in motor drives because significant amount of common-mode conducted/bearing current is induced and interferes with system operation. As an alternative to inserting bulky passive filters to attenuate common-mode current, a new topology "active zero-state switch (AZS)" is ...

Three-phase Voltage Source Inverter (VSI)
2021This example presents the modeling and open-loop control implementation of a three-phase two-level voltage source inverter (VSI) using imperix control hardware and software tools. Sinusoidal modulation signals are generated to produce balanced three-phase voltages, which are translated into duty cycles and applied through carrier-based PWM.

"Sensorless" control of 4-quadrant-rectifiers for voltage source inverters (VSI)
IEEE 34th Annual Conference on Power Electronics Specialist, 2003. PESC '03., 2004This paper presents a novel "sensorless" control strategy for three phase pulsewidth modulated (PWM) power supply rectifiers. The proposed method is based on the voltage oriented control but it does not use any AC-line voltage sensors and does not need accurate parameters of the controlled system.

Interference of automotive HV-DC-systems by traction voltage-source-inverters (VSI)
2019 IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference (ITEC-India), 2019This paper presents a method to analyze and quantify the interference of an automotive HV-DC-system due to excitation currents emitted by the voltage-source-inverters. This process is explained by reference to an exemplary HV- system of a battery electric vehicle. As a part of this research, the HV-system’s modelling, a strategy for its parametrization

Neural network based programmed pulse width modulation usable on voltage source inverters (VSIs)
ICECS 2000. 7th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.00EX445), 2002In this paper some three-layer neural networks are trained for execution of programmed pulse width modulation (PPWM) method in voltage source inverters (VSIs). Solving the custom difficulties of utilization of PPWM such as large size of memory, complex control circuits and controlling the magnitude of output voltage in discrete manner in addition to ...

Feedforward control of output current for three-phase voltage source inverter (VSI) with transformer
2014 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition - APEC 2014, 2014This paper concentrates on the load disturbance in three-phase voltage source inverter with an output transformer. The transformer could be smaller when placed behind the LC filter. But the voltage drop on the leakage impedance of transformer may destroy the quality of output voltage.

Voltage source inverters (VSIs) have been widely used in the power industry, such as in Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), Distributed Generation (DG) units, and Dynamic Voltage Restorers (DVRs). Usually, these VSIs are controlled in a stationary frame cascaded dual loop scenario using linear regulators in which the inner current loop provides ...
