3D avalanche flow modeling using OpenFOAM
In this paper, a model of a snow avalanche was created with the help of open source CFD software OpenFOAM. The avalanche is considered as a turbulent two-phase flow - snow and air. We take incompressible Herschel-Balkley fluid as a model of snow.

ABSTRACT This study aims to validate the structural and thermomechanical reliability of an additively manufactured test chamber specifically designed for the experimental investigation of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) atomization under jet‐in‐crossflow (JICF) conditions representative of gas turbine afterburners. The proposed test chamber is designed

In this paper we validate a numerical model for wave-structure interaction by comparing numerical results with laboratory data. The numerical model is based on the Navier-Stokes (N-S) equations for an incompressible fluid. The N-S equations are solved by

Anti-diffusion method for coupled level set and volume of fluid, volume of fluid, and tangent of hyperbola for interface capturing methods [PDF]
In this paper, we propose an anti-diffusion method to effectively prevent flotsams (non-physical tiny droplets and bubbles) and/or diffusion of the VOF (volume of fluid) function that occur in CLSVOF (coupled level set and volume of fluid), VOF (volume ...

Taylor bubble moving in a flowing liquid in vertical channel: transition from symmetric to asymmetric shape [PDF]
The velocity and shape of Taylor bubbles moving in a vertical channel in a Poiseuille liquid flow were studied for the inertial regime, characterized by large Reynolds numbers.

Some modifications of MPS method for incompressible free surface flow [PDF]
As a Lagrangian mesh-free method, the Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS)[1] method is very suitable for simulating violent flows, such as breaking waves on free surface.
