A solvable three-body model in finite volume
In this work, we propose an approach to the solution of finite volume three-body problem by considering asymptotic forms and periodicity property of wave function in configuration space.

Parameterization of volume scattering function of coastal waters based on the statistical approach
A parameterization of the volume scattering function (VSF) specific to coastal waters is proposed. We have found that the standard VSF parameterizations proposed by Fournier-Forand and Petzold do not fit our measurements obtained with a high angular resolution VSF-meter for water samples taken in the Black Sea coastal zone. We propose modeling VSF as a

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Fitting Green’s Function FFT Acceleration Applied to Anisotropic Dielectric Scattering Problems
A volume integral equation based fast algorithm using the Fast Fourier Transform of fitting Green’s function (FG-FFT) is proposed in this paper for analysis of electromagnetic scattering from 3D anisotropic dielectric objects.

An Improved Accurate Solver for the Time-Dependent RTE in Underwater Optical Wireless Communications
Underwater optical wireless communication (UOWC) has been widely advocated as a viable way to satisfy these high-speed links constraints in the marine medium through the use of the visible spectrum.

Emerging experimental and computational methods for studying redox‐regulated structural transitions
Redox reactions can reshape proteins and alter how they behave in cells, with important consequences for health and disease. This review explores emerging experimental and computational approaches for discovering these redox‐sensitive protein switches, revealing their structural effects, and predicting their behavior, opening new opportunities to ...

A practical path guiding method for participating media
Rendering translucent materials is costly: light transport algorithms need to simulate a large number of scattering events inside the material before reaching convergence. The cost is especially high for materials with a large albedo or a small mean-free-

Calibration of the LISST-VSF to derive the volume scattering functions in clear waters
The recently commercialized LISST-VSF instrument measures the volume scattering function (VSF) from 0.1° to 15° with a traditional laser diffraction unit (LISST) and from 15° to 155° with an eyeball component. Between these two optical components, only the LISST unit is calibrated.

Synergistic perspectives—How single‐molecule biophysics complement biochemical understanding
In this review, we discuss how ensemble biochemistry and single‐molecule approaches are complementary, outline commonly used single‐molecule techniques, and illustrate their relevance through two representative case studies: chromatin organization by SMC complexes and pathway choice during DNA double‐strand break repair.
