Spatial transcriptomics reveals a remodeled fibroblast‐immune microenvironment in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) during arthritis. By combining seqFISH with genetic mouse models, this study uncovers TMJ spatial cell atalas, macrophage‐fibroblast crosstalk, and cytokine signaling pathways driving TMJ inflammation and pain.

Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation and Voluntary Exercise
Sports Medicine, 1992Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) has been in practice since the eighteenth century for the treatment of paralysed patients and the prevention and/or restoration of muscle function after injuries, before patients are capable of voluntary exercise training. More recently NMES has been used as a modality of strengthening in healthy subjects and

Sex Differences in Diaphragm Voluntary Activation after Exercise
Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, 2022ABSTRACT Introduction The female diaphragm develops less fatigue after high-intensity exercise compared with males. Diaphragm fatigability is typically defined as a decrease in transdiaphragmatic twitch pressure (P di,TW) and represents the contractile function of the muscle.

Voluntary Exercise and Experimental Mammary Cancer
1992The results of these studies indicate that voluntary activity suppresses the development of chemically and virally induced primary mammary tumors in rats and mice fed high-fat diets. These diets were chosen to mimic the current U.S. fat consumption of approximately 40% of calories as fat.
