Multifunctional atomic layer deposited coatings and interface treatments enhance direct solar water splitting on GaAs/GaInP tandem cells. Optimized TiO2/Pt nanoparticle bilayers ensure durability and catalytic efficiency with minimal optical losses, while H2 plasma pretreatments maximize photovoltage and interfacial charge extraction.

Dual-band vortex beam generation with different OAM modes using single-layer metasurface.
Recently, considerable attention has been focused on orbital angular momentum (OAM) vortex wave, owing to its prospect of increasing communication capacity. Here, a single-layer metasurface is proposed to realize vortex beams with different OAM modes and

Reconfigurable Three‐Dimensional Superconducting Nanoarchitectures
3D superconducting nanostructures offer new possibilities for emergent physical phenomena. However, fabricating complex geometries remains challenging. Here 3D nanoprinting of complex 3D superconducting nanoarchitectures is established. As well as propagating superconducting vortices in 3D, anisotropic superconducting properties with geometric ...

Optical vortices with an infinite number of screw dislocations
In optical data transmission with using vortex laser beams, data can be encoded by the topological charge, which is theoretically unlimited. However, the topological charge of a single separate vortex (screw dislocation) is limited by possibilities of ...

Extension of Friedel's law to Vortex Beam Diffraction
Friedel's law states that the modulus of the Fourier transform of real functions is centrosymmetric, while the phase is antisymmetric. As a consequence of this, elastic scattering of plane wave photons or electrons within the first-order Born ...

Recent advances in intense short pulse laser interaction with thin foil enable us to accelerates the ions upto relativistic velocity in a controlled way. The accelerated ion beams can be utilized to generate the ion vortex beam in a similar way as it has been done for electron, neutron and photon vortex beam case. We present a theoretical demonstration

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.
