Electrostatically‐Stabilized PEG‐Free Lipid Nanoparticles for Systemic Nucleic Acid Delivery
This work describes non‐PEGylated layered lipid nanoparticles (nonPEG LLNPs), a gene delivery platform that improves upon standard PEGylated LNPs via electrostatic adsorption of charged polymers. nonPEG LLNPs maintain colloidal stability under biological stresses, enhance circulation time, and mitigate accelerated blood clearance and hepatic ...

Large-Eddy Simulations of Wake Vortices in Ground Proximity and Crosswind [PDF]
Results from large eddy simulations of the wake vortex behaviour in ground effect with turbulent crosswinds are presented. We have conducted wall-resolved and wall-modelled simulations at different Reynolds numbers to investigate the Reynolds-number ...

Experimental Tests and Aeroacoustic Simulations of the Control of Cavity Tone by Plasma Actuators
A plasma actuator comprising a dielectric layer sandwiched between upper and lower electrodes can induce a flow from the upper to lower electrode by means of an externally-applied electric field.

Durable quasi‐liquid polymer brush surfaces provide an anti‐scaling strategy for hypersaline brine evaporation and zero‐liquid‐discharge desalination. The smooth, liquid‐like QLS interface suppresses substrate‐side salt nucleation, promotes compact crystallization and dewetting, reduces crystal–surface contact area, and enables low‐adhesion salt ...

The motion of a singular vortex near an escarpment [PDF]
McDonald (1998) has studied the motion of an intense, quasi-geostrophic, equivalent barotropic, singular vortex near an infinitely long escarpment. The present work considers the remaining cases of the motion of weak and moderate intensity singular ...

Impact of Disorder on Microscopic Superconducting and Normal‐State Responses in a Kagome Metal
Using depth‐resolved, field‐ and pressure‐dependent μSR$\umu{\rm SR}$ measurements, we show that disorder in Ta‐doped KV3Sb5 drives a crossover from nodal to nodeless superconductivity while strongly modifying the normal‐state magnetic response. Our results reveal that disorder affects superconductivity and magnetism in fundamentally different ways ...

Interactions by mutual excitation in neural populations in human and animal brains create a mesoscopic order parameter that is recorded in brain waves (electroencephalogram, EEG). Spatially and spectrally distributed oscillations are imposed on the background activity by inhibitory feedback in the gamma range (30–80 Hz).

Nanoscale Spatial Tuning of Superconductivity in Cuprate Thin Films via Direct Laser Writing
Maskless direct laser writing enables local control of oxygen stoichiometry in epitaxial YBCO thin films under ambient conditions. Sub‐micrometer grayscale patterns with tunable optical response and superconducting transport properties are achieved.
