Phylogenetic analysis of the VP2 gene of canine parvoviruses circulating in China
Virus Genes, 2010Sequences of the full-length gene encoding the main capsid protein VP2 of 22 strains of canine parvovirus (CPV), isolated from domestic dogs in China between 1983 and 2008, were determined and analyzed in comparison with the sequences of 30 other strains of CPV from China and reference CPV isolates retrieved from GenBank.

Cloning and Expression of the VP2 Gene of an Infectious Bursal Disease Virus
Avian Diseases, 2000A serotype I infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) strain HZ96 was isolated in Hangzhou, China, in 1996 and attenuated by adaptation to chicken embryo fibroblast cells. The VP2 gene of strain HZ96 was amplified by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, cloned, and sequenced. Compared with the VP2 sequences of other IBDV strains, HZ96 is most

Identification of precursors of structural proteins VP1 and VP2 of hepatitis A virus
Journal of Medical Virology, 1992AbstractThe morphogenetic pathway of hepatitis A virus (HAV), classified as a member of the enteroviruses within the Picornaviridae, still remains obscure and seems to differ considerably from that of poliovirus, the most studied representative of this genus.

A mutation increasing the size of the polyoma virion proteins, VP2 and VP3
Virology, 1981Abstract The ts 48 mutant of polyoma virus carries a temperature-sensitive mutation ( ts A) which affects the polyoma large T antigen, blocking viral DNA synthesis at the nonpermissive temperature. In addition, there are at least two other changes in the ts 48 genome which affect virus-coded proteins.

Identification and characterization of neutralization epitopes at VP2 and VP1 of enterovirus A71
Journal of Medical Virology, 2018Enterovirus A71 (EV‐A71) neutralization escape mutants were generated with monoclonal antibody MAB979 (Millipore). The VP2‐T141I and VP1‐D14N substitutions were identified. Using reverse genetics, infectious clones with these substitutions were constructed and tested by neutralization assay with immune sera from mice and humans.

Sequence analysis of VP2 gene of canine parvovirus isolates in Thailand
Virus Genes, 2010Canine parvovirus (CPV) causes a very severe enteric disease especially in puppies. Twenty-six isolates of CPV were obtained from dogs at the Animal Hospital, Kasetsart University, Thailand. Whole VP2 gene of 26 isolates was amplified using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and its sequences were analyzed.

Immunogenicity analysis based on VP1 and VP2 proteins of bovine enterovirus
VirologyBovine enterovirus (BEV) infection manifests as a spectrum of clinical signs affecting the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and reproductive systems in cattle. Outbreaks of this disease results in large economic losses to the bovine industry worldwide. Currently there are no efficacious vaccines and medicines to prevent BEV infection.
