Humoral Immune Response Against Human Bocavirus VP2 Virus-Like Particles

Viral Immunology, 2008
Human bocavirus (HBoV) was recently detected in samples from children and infants with infections of the respiratory tract. Here we analyze the prevalence of IgG and IgM antibodies against HBoV virus-like VP2 particles in healthy adult blood donors and children using a newly established standardized enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Virus-specific IgG

[Immune Response of Recombinant Pseudorabies Virus rPRV-VP2 Expressing VP2 Gene of Porcine Parvovirus in Mice].

Bing du xue bao = Chinese journal of virology, 2016
In order to develop a combined live vaccine that will be used to prevent against porcine parvovirus (PPV) and Pseudorabies virus (PRV) infection, the VP2 gene of PPV was inserted into the transfer vector plasmid pG to produce the recombinant plasmid pGVP2.

Expression of the Polyomavirus VP2 and VP3 Proteins in Insect Cells: Coexpression with the Major Capsid Protein VP1 Alters VP2/VP3 Subcellular Localization

Virology, 1993
During polyomavirus infection the capsid proteins are synthesized in the cytoplasm and transported into the nucleus were virion assembly occurs. Expression of the major capsid protein VP1 in Sf9 insect cells results in the accumulation of capsid-like particles in the nucleus, independent of the presence of the minor capsid proteins VP2 and VP3 or the ...

Induction of neutralizing antibodies by the coxsackievirus B3 virion polypeptide, VP2

Virology, 1980
Abstract An immunogenic analysis of isolated substructures of coxsackievirus B3 virions revealed that the virion polypeptide, VP2, was the immunogen which induced neutralizing antibodies. The other substructure examined, VP1,3, elicited high antibody titers detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), but no detectable neutralizing ...

Analysis of VP2 gene sequences of canine parvovirus isolates in India

Archives of Virology, 2006
The epidemiology of canine parvovirus (CPV) infections in dogs in India was examined using 27 isolates collected during a two-year period. The VP2 genes of 22 isolates were sequenced, and the deduced amino acid sequences were compared. The results indicated that the isolates belonged to CPV type 2a except four, which belonged to CPV type 2b. Comparison

Cell-free synthesis of polyoma virus capsid proteins VP1 and VP2

Journal of Virology, 1977
Polyadenylated RNA isolated from the cytoplasm of mouse 3T6 cells 28 h after infection with polyoma virus has been isolated and translated in vitro. Polyoma capsid proteins VP1 and VP2 have been identified in the cell-free product by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, specific immunoprecipitation, and tryptic peptide fingerprinting.

Sequence analysis of VP2 gene of canine parvovirus isolates in Thailand

Virus Genes, 2010
Canine parvovirus (CPV) causes a very severe enteric disease especially in puppies. Twenty-six isolates of CPV were obtained from dogs at the Animal Hospital, Kasetsart University, Thailand. Whole VP2 gene of 26 isolates was amplified using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and its sequences were analyzed.
