VP40 Comprehensive Evaluation Of Islet Transplantation For Type I Diabetes

International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care, 2017
INTRODUCTION:Despite several therapeutic options existing for the patients with type I diabetes, the patients are still at high risk for severe acute and chronic complications (1). Pancreatic islet transplantation is a promising therapy to achieve good glycemic control with no or little additional insulin (2).

Development, characterization and use of monoclonal VP40-antibodies for the detection of Ebola virus

Journal of Virological Methods, 2003
Ebola virus (EBOV) causes uncommon but dramatic outbreaks in remote regions of Africa, where diagnostic facilities are limited. In order to develop diagnostic tests, which can be handled and distributed easily, monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) to EBOV, species Zaire, were produced from mice immunized with inactivated viral particles.

Detection of Ebola Virus VP40 Protein using a Nanowire SOI Biosensor

Optoelectronics, Instrumentation and Data Processing, 2019
Nanowire SOI biosensors are used to detect the Ebola virus VP40 protein by identifying its immune complexes with specific monoclonal antibodies (MCAs). It is shown that the reaction of specific interaction between VP40 and MCAs causes a more pronounced biosensor response than direct adsorption of VP40 or antibodies to their surface.

Prokaryotic expression and immunogenicity in rabbit of Ebola virus VP40 matrix protein

Indian Journal of Animal Research, 2017
Ebola hemorrhagic fever is among severe and fatal viral hemorrhagic fevers and a global health concern. Here, we constructed a prokaryotic expression plasmid pET32a-VP40 for the large-scale expression of VP40 in E. coli Rosetta (DE3) cells. Water-soluble protein was obtained through optimization of the expression temperature, time and IPTG ...

ROLE OF VP40 IN EBOLA ASSEMBLY

2001
The VP40 protein of Ebola virus (EBOV) is thought to be a key component in the assembly of infectious virions. If so, one might predict that when expressed alone, it would form virus-like particles. To test this possibility, we created a plasmid that expressed VP40 under the control of a CMV promoter. Transfection of mammalian cells with this construct
