Secretion of the rotavirus VP8* protein in Lactococcus lactis
FEMS Microbiology Letters, 2001Secretion of the VP8* subunit of the VP4 capsid protein of rotavirus by Lactococcus lactis has been achieved. For this purpose, a secretion vector has been constructed with the lactococcal signal sequence AL9 and the VP8*-encoding gene fragment. The amount of VP8* secreted by L. lactis in the culture supernatant was quantified and visualised by Western

Adaptive VP8 Steganography Based on Deblocking Filtering
Proceedings of the ACM Workshop on Information Hiding and Multimedia Security, 2019In this paper, a novel deblocking filtering-based VP8 steganographic scheme is proposed. The unique aspect of this work and one that distinguishes it from the prior art is that we effectively exploit the characteristics of deblocking filtering. We propose to embed the secret messages by comparing the quantized discrete cosine transform coefficients ...

Detailed Comparative Analysis of VP8 and H.264
2012 IEEE International Symposium on Multimedia, 2012VP8 has recently been offered by Google as an open video compression format in attempt to compete with the widely used H.264 video compression standard. This paper describes the major differences between VP8 and H.264 and provides detailed comparative evaluations through extensive experiments.

Structural and functional characterization of bovine G1P[5] rotavirus VP8* protein
Virology, 2021The widely used rotavirus (RV) vaccine, Rotateq, contained reassortment strains of human and bovine G1/2/3/4P[5] RVs. The functional and structural features of bovine G1P[5] VP8* were investigated. Bovine G1P[5] VP8* was identified to interact with sialic acids and sialic acid-containing glycans.

Optimization of VP8 decoder for video processing
2014 22nd Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR), 2014The modern multimedia devices require ever increasing processing power, which is to some extent limited, and to optimize the code to execute in real-time. This paper describes the optimization methods for VP8 decoder for processing video signals based on the MIPS32 architecture.

Modeling VP8/WebM Encoded Video Traces
2012 Sixth UKSim/AMSS European Symposium on Computer Modeling and Simulation, 2012In this paper, we present our research results in modeling video traces encoded with VP8/WebM codec. Our research results are based on our collection of more than 800 VP8 encoded video traces. We show in this paper that our simplified seasonal ARIMA (SAM) model provides a valid model for WebM encoded video traces regardless of their motion, texture ...
