Studies of material migration and deposition after the 2017 experimental campaign in EAST
Plasma-wall interaction is one of the key issues in tokamaks, as the material erosion and deposition will strongly influence the lifetime of plasma facing materials, fuel retention and plasma performance.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Solitary abdominal wall hydatid cyst—a rare condition
Abstract Hydatid disease is a parasitic infection by a tapeworm of the genus Echinococcus that usually presents in the liver and lungs. Presentation of the disease as a solitary abdominal wall lesion, however, is a rare entity and only nine cases have been reported in the literature thus far.

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Photolysis of Diborane at 1849 Å [PDF]
The photolysis of diborane at 1849 Å has been studied in a specially constructed, internal‐type mercury‐vapor lamp. The products have been found to be H_2, B_(4)H_(10), B_(5)H_(11), and, at low pressures, a —BH— polymer.
