Greening Under Pressure: Climate Change Exposure and Eco‐Innovation

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study explores the impact of climate change exposure on corporate eco‐innovation. Recognizing the urgent need to address climate change, we examine how firms directly respond to climate risks through eco‐innovation. Our findings indicate that climate change exposure is positively associated with corporate eco‐innovation.

Giving or Greening? Stakeholder Dynamics and Ex‐Military Executives

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Firms increasingly face competing demands from different stakeholder groups, yet little is known about how these demands interact and generate strategic trade‐offs. Drawing on stakeholder theory and upper echelons theory, we investigate whether an overemphasis on philanthropic initiatives can detract from investments in green innovation, and ...

National Environmental Policies and Corporate Green Innovation: The Mirroring Versus Substitution Hypotheses

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Drawing on comparative institutional theory, we study the nature and magnitude of the effects of national environmental policies on corporate green innovation in developed versus emerging markets. Using a sample of 1831 listed firms in 34 countries from 2002 to 2020, we find that national environmental policies increase corporate green ...

Chaplygin gas inspired warm inflation and swampland conjectures through various scalar potentials

open access: yesChinese Physics C, High Energy Physics & Nuclear Physics
In this paper, we analyze inflationary parameters and swampland conjectures in the presence of a scalar field and Chaplygin models. We examine inflationary parameters, such as slow-roll parameters, scalar and tensor power spectra, spectral index, and ...

Decoding Emotional Signatures of Ethical Ads: An Analysis of Actor‐Viewer Synchrony

open access: yesJournal of Consumer Behaviour, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We examine whether ethical advertisements differ from conventional ads in their on‐screen emotional signatures and whether those signatures transfer to actor‐viewer synchrony. Study 1 analyses 138 professionally produced YouTube ads using Automated Facial Expression Recognition (AFER) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) to quantify actor ...

Do Firms Hoard Cash Under Environmental Pressure? Insights From GHG Emissions and Greenwashing Activities

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Environmental accountability has become a global priority, with governments implementing policies like the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement. However, many firms continue to operate outside environmentally ethical standards, facing potential regulatory, financial, and reputational risks.

On the consistency of tachyon warm inflation with viscous pressure

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2015
We obtain conditions for the existence of an attractor in the system of equations describing a tachyon warm inflationary model with bulk viscosity taken into account. When these conditions are met the evolution approaches slow-roll regime. We present the

Board Governance as a Strategic Mechanism: Carbon Risk and Firm Performance

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Carbon emissions are a major contributor to global warming and pose significant threats to the environment. In response to the urgency of climate change, firms are under increasing pressure to adopt policies that enhance environmental performance while reducing carbon risk.
