SerpinA3 is an Endogenous TGF‐β Receptor Antagonist that Attenuates Cardiac Fibroblast Activation and Fibrotic Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SerpinA3 acts as an endogenous TGF‐β receptor antagonist that binds to the extracellular domain of TGFR‐1, thereby preventing TGFR‐1–TGFR‐2 complex formation. This receptor‐level blockade suppresses TGF‐β/Smad2/3 signaling, attenuates cardiac fibroblast activation, and extracellular matrix deposition, and ultimately alleviates pressure overload–induced

ACSL4‐Dependent Lysosomal Lipid Peroxidation Links WTAP‐Mediated m6A Modification to Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
IL‐1β upregulates the protein level of WTAP, which promotes the m6A modification of ACSL4 mRNA in an IGF2BP2‐dependent manner, thereby enhancing its stability. The increased ACSL4 drives lipid peroxidation, leading to lysosomal membrane permeabilization (LMP) and impaired mitophagy, which collectively accelerate intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD).

Effectiveness of dry needling combined with eccentric strength training in lateral epicondylalgia with trigger points

open access: yes
Introduction Lateral epicondylalgia (LE) is commonly presented with myofascial trigger points (MTrPs) among adults. Dry needling (DN) is used less frequently as a first-line treatment in LE with trigger points, and the short and long-term effectiveness ...

Grtp1 Safeguards Against Paternal Reproductive Aging and Intergenerational Behavioral Deficits by Preserving Redox Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies that Grtp1 maintains germline redox homeostasis by interacting with PRDX1/4‐TXN to antagonize paternal reproductive aging. Growth hormone restores Grtp1 expression, rectifies aberrant sperm DNA methylation, and ameliorates intergenerational anxiety and social deficits, highlighting the GH‐GRTP1 axis as a promising intervention ...

THE INVESTMENT POTENTIAL OF WARM-SEASON GRASSES FOR HILL-LAND BEEF PRODUCERS [PDF]

open access: yes
The investment potential of warm-season grasses is compared with that of cool-season grasses, with special emphasis on hill-land beef production. In addition to evaluating relative costs and returns for various grazing systems, a sensitivity analysis is ...

Targeting the CRYAB/β‐Catenin Axis with an MMP‐9‐Responsive Hydrogel Disrupts CTC Clusters to Suppress Progression of Hepatocellular Carcinoma after Radiofrequency Ablation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract illustrates that sublethal thermal stress after iRFA upregulates the chaperone CRYAB in residual HCC cells, which stabilizes β‐catenin and drives a dual pathological program, including EMT and N2‐TAN polarization, thereby leading to heterotypic CTC cluster formation. The MMP‐9‐responsive hydrogel (XB@Gel) delivers XAV‐939 and BMS‐

Phase Separation of SF3B1 Serves as a Critical Post‐Transcriptional Regulator During Early Mouse Embryogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phase separation of SF3B1 acts as a key regulatory mechanism for dynamic alternative splicing throughout early mouse embryogenesis. Its absence triggers extensive splicing errors, which induce persistent DNA damage, defective cell cycle progression, and failed cell lineage commitment, and ultimately hinder the normal growth and development of ...

Equity versus Warm Glow in Intergenerational Giving [PDF]

open access: yes
In different treatments of an intergenerational common resource experiment, monetary payoff maximization by each generation causes either negative or positive externalities for future generations. Two behavioral types have been observed previously in ...
