Effect of organic loading rate on methane and volatile fatty acids productions from anaerobic treatment of palm oil mill effluent in UASB and UFAF reactors [PDF]
Anaerobic treatment of palm oil mill effluent (POME) with the separation of the acidogenic and methanogenic phase was studied in an up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) reactor and an up-flowanaerobic filter (UFAF) reactor.

Dasatinib and quercetin prevent alveolar bone loss in aged mice
Abstract Background Recent findings have associated alveolar bone loss (ABL) with the presence of senescent cells. Aging and the accumulation of senescent cells are associated with a pro‐inflammatory environment which may exacerbate tissue damage.

Hopf bifurcation control of the Rössler system based on Washout filter controller
The Washout filter is adopted to control Hopf bifurcation in Rössler system. The effect of its parameters on the position of bifurcation point, the bifurcation type, and the amplitude of periodic solution is discussed in detail. Based on Routh criterion, the stability region in parameter space is found out firstly.

Abstract Purpose To compare anterior tibial translation and femorotibial rotation measurements obtained from conventional supine, non‐weight‐bearing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and weight‐bearing computed tomography (WBCT) in patients with chronic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears. Methods WBCT of the knee acquired in full extension and at 30°

Power Management Scheme Based on Aging Factor of Battery Storage Systems for Electric Vehicles
Electric vehicles rely on energy storage systems i.e. batteries for reliable performance and extended driving range. However, the battery storage system degrades over time due to cyclic and calendar aging, which can reduce its efficiency and capacity ...

Abstract Background Functional neurological disorders (FNDs) are common, disabling conditions that are genuinely experienced and arise from functional rather than structural abnormalities. Although theoretical frameworks implicate aberrant integration of prior expectations and sensory input, empirical evidence is limited, and it remains unclear whether

ABSTRACT Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is a targeted radiotherapy that exploits the selective accumulation of the 10B isotope within tumors, followed by irradiation with low‐energy neutrons to induce high linear energy transfer particles with short path lengths, resulting in localized tumor cell destruction while sparing surrounding healthy ...

Abstract Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) has been shown to be effective for surveying and monitoring dams, due to the method's sensitivity to moisture content and relevant physical properties (e.g., porosity). Automated ERT systems, capable of time‐lapse monitoring, can be used to detect variations in ground conditions.
