Evaluation of the Cyanidation Leaching of Gold in a Waste Rock Ore [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2014
Samples of the waste rock obtained from Marofengin South Africa ground 60, 70 and 80% passing 75µm were leached with cyanide in bottle roll tests. The results obtained showed that the percentage gold dissolution depends more on the ore size consists than

The Dynamic Energy Band Model of Contact‐Separation and Sliding Mode Triboelectric Charging of Polymers at the Metal‐Polymer Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Triboelectric charge generation at polymer‐metal interfaces arises from the interplay of intra‐ and inter transformation reactions of mechanochemically generated species, physical properties of polymers, environmental conditions. The direction and the magnitude of electron transfer between metal and polymer are dynamically governed by the relative ...

Investigation on the Compressive Behavior of Waste Rock Backfill Materials with Different Specimen Sizes for Roof Control

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Waste rock backfilled into a goaf can function as the main load-bearing carrier to support the overlying strata, so the compressive behavior of backfill materials plays a critical role in the effectiveness of strata control.

Discovery of an Adaptive Neuroimmune Response Driving Itch and Fast Tick Removal with Implications for Preventing Pathogen Transmission

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Doehl et al. discovered an adaptive neuroimmune mechanism that induces itch in tick‐exposed guinea pigs, enabling rapid tick removal. This itch‐induced tick removal (IITR) is mediated by an adaptive cellular immune response and is independent of IgG, IgE, or TRPV1.
