Designing Asymmetric Memristive Behavior in Proton Mixed Conductors for Neuromorphic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Protonic devices that couple ionic and electronic transport are demonstrated as bioinspired neuromorphic elements. The devices exhibit rubber‐like asymmetric memristive behavior with slow voltage‐driven conductance increase and rapid relaxation, enabling simplified read–write operation.

Semi-quantitative CT score reflecting the degree of pulmonary infection as a risk factor of hypokalemia in COVID-19 patients: a cross-sectional study

open access: yesFrontiers in Medicine
BackgroundHypokalemia is a common electrolyte disorder observed in patients afflicted with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). When COVID-19 is accompanied by pulmonary infection, chest computed tomography (CT) is the preferred diagnostic modality. This

Features of Functional State of Cardiovascular System in Children with Celiac Disease

open access: yesZdorovʹe Rebenka, 2013
The functional state of the cardiovascular system (CVS) of 19 patients with celiac disease aged 9 months — 17 years. 78.9 % of patients had functional changes of CVS (secondary cardiomyopathy, dystonia), symptomatic complaints of pain in the heart ...

Mechanistic Insights into a Synergistic FeOx/Fe‐N4 System for Practical Nitrate Abatement with Value‐Added Ammonia Recovery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work provides a novel interpretation of the nitrate reduction mechanism on iron oxides (FeOx) by employing constant‐potential density functional calculations and reports the design and synthesis of a robust and high‐performance Fe3O4/Fe‐N4‐C catalyst with remarkable Faradaic efficiency, current density, and stability under practical reaction ...

Antenatal Bartter Syndrome: A Review

open access: yesInternational Journal of Pediatrics, 2012
Antenatal Bartter syndrome (ABS) is a rare autosomal recessive renal tubular disorder. The defective chloride transport in the loop of Henle leads to fetal polyuria resulting in severe hydramnios and premature delivery.

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

Conductive Bonding and System Architectures for High‐Performance Flexible Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review outlines bonding technologies and structural design strategies that support high‐performance flexible and stretchable electronics. Bonding approaches such as surface‐activated bonding and anisotropic conductive films, together with system‐level architectures including buffer layers and island‐bridge structures, possess distinct mechanical ...
