Gas/particle partitioning of water-soluble organic aerosol in Atlanta [PDF]
Gas and particle-phase organic carbon compounds soluble in water (e.g., WSOC) were measured simultaneously in Atlanta throughout the summer of 2007 to investigate gas/particle partitioning of ambient secondary organic aerosol (SOA). Previous studies have

Resource potential of water-soluble gas in the Palaeogene Huizhou Sag, Pearl River Mouth Basin
Based on the formation mechanism of water-soluble gas, combined with the geological conditions of the Palaeogene Huizhou Sag, the resource potential and utilization of water-soluble gas in the Palaeogene source rock in the Huizhou Sag are analyzed ...

Penetration of Water-Soluble Material through Gas-Cleaning Filters
To predict the behavior of gas-cleaning filters during real-world operation, it is essential to understand their response to ambient conditions. The temporary presence of water droplets in gas-cleaning filtration systems due to fog, spray rain, or ...

The estimation of midazolam, a water‐soluble benzodiazepine by gas liquid chromatography [PDF]
Summary A simple, reliable and reproducible method for the estimation of midazolam in plasma samples is described. This involves extraction with benzene and estimation by gas‐liquid chromatography using diazepam as the internal standard. Reproducibility was good and the extraction from plasma was 94% efjcient.

Ultra-dispersed particles of water-soluble and water-insoluble substances formed from gas-droplet flows [PDF]
Abstract The work is devoted to the experimental study of the ultra dispersed particles formation process, which is essentially a fundamental problem of heat and mass transfer in gas-droplet flows under phase transformation conditions. Various methods of generating and controlling the gas-droplet flow parameters are considered.

Uptake of Water‐soluble Gas‐phase Oxidation Products Drives Organic Particulate Pollution in Beijing [PDF]
AbstractDespite the recent decrease in pollution events in Chinese urban areas, the World Health Organization air quality guideline values are still exceeded. Observations from monitoring networks show a stronger decrease of organic aerosol directly emitted to the atmosphere relative to secondary organic aerosol (SOA) generated from oxidation processes.

Gas-Phase Water-Soluble Organic Carbon: CMAQ Model Evaluation in Baltimore County
Prediction of gas-phase water-soluble organic carbon (WSOC*), a precursor for secondary organic aerosol formed through processing in atmospheric waters (aqSOA), has not yet been evaluated in models. We pair the WSOC* predictions from the U.S. EPA’s Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) model with continuous mist chamber measurements during February ...
