Comprehensive Review of Polymer and Polymer Gel Treatments for Natural Gas-Related Conformance Control

open access: yesGels, 2022
Conformance problems often exist in natural gas-related activities, resulting in excessive water production from natural gas production wells and/or excessive natural gas production from oil production wells.

Production of Water-Soluble Carbohydrates from Aspen Wood Flour with Hydrogen Chloride Gas

open access: yesIndustrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2023
The aim of this study was to optimize the reaction conditions for concentrated acid hydrolysis of aspen wood flour by employing anhydrous hydrogen chloride gas to produce fermentable sugars. Gas hydrolysis with HCl was conducted both with and without temperature control during hydrolysis under a relatively low pressure of 0.1 MPa.

Using of exhaust gas heat from a condenser to increase the vacuum freeze-drying rate

open access: yesResults in Engineering, 2022
Vacuum freeze dryer is able to remove some of the moisture content of the material. However, the drying rate is very slow because the sublimation process must propagate through the layers of material.

Simultaneous measurements of particulate and gas-phase water-soluble organic carbon concentrations at remote and urban-influenced locations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The sources, sinks, and overall importance of watersoluble organic carbon (WSOC) in the atmosphere are not well understood. Although the primary historical focus has been on particulate WSOC (WSOCP), here we also present results obtained using a newly ...

Natural Gas Geochemistry of Jurassic Shaximiao Formation in the Western Sichuan Basin, China: Fault-Controlled Differentiation in Accumulation Process

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2022
The Jurassic Shaximiao Formation in western Sichuan has made significant contributions to the natural gas reserves and production of China, with many gas fields successively discovered. The accumulation evolution progress and discrepant gathering law are

Comparison of particulate matter emission and soluble matter collected from combustion cigarettes and heated tobacco products using a setup designed to simulate puffing regimes

open access: yesChemical Engineering Journal Advances, 2021
An experimental setup was designed and optimized to collect particulate matter suspended in cigarettes smoke or in the aerosol generated during the use of heated tobacco products (HTPs).

Online gas and aerosol measurement of water soluble carboxylic acids in Zurich [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, 2006
We discuss the diurnal and seasonal variability of low molecular weight organic acids in Zurich city on the basis of online quasi‐continuous measurement in the gas and aerosol phase using a wet effluent diffusion denuder/aerosol collector (WEDD/AC) coupled to ion chromatography.

Investigation of the influence of polyelectrolytes hydrodynamic properties on the hydrate formation process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
One of the most perspective non-traditional sources of hydrocarbon raw materials and energy is gas hydrates (GH), which stimulates their large-scale study in many laboratories and scientific centers around the world.

Water deficit modifies the carbon isotopic composition of lipids, soluble sugars and leaves of Copaifera langsdorffii Desf. (Fabaceae)

open access: yesActa Botânica Brasílica, 2017
Water deficit is most frequent in forest physiognomies subjected to climate change. As a consequence, several tree species alter tissue water potential, gas exchange and production of carbon compounds to overcome damage caused by water deficiency.
