Sterols sense swelling in lipid bilayers [PDF]
In the mimetic membrane system of phosphatidylcholine bilayers, thickening (pre-critical behavior, anomalous swelling) of the bilayers is observed, in the vicinity of the main transition, which is non-linear with temperature.

From Food to Power: Hydrogel Thermoelectrics for Ingestible Electronics
We introduce a fully edible thermoelectric–electrochromic platform that harvests heat from food and converts it into a visible color change. N‐type and p‐type hydrogel thermoelectric generators connected in series power anthocyanin‐based electrochromic displays, demonstrating the feasibility of safe, biodegradable, ingestible systems for on‐food ...

In this study, some of the important properties of experimentally manufactured wood thermoplastic polyurethane composites were determined. Specimen having 30%, 40%, 50%, and 60% wood flour were mixed with rigid polyurethane foam. Physicalproperties (density, water absorption, and thickness swelling) and thermal conductivity of wood ...

A monolithic and flexible fluoropolymer film microreactor for organic synthesis applications [PDF]
A photocurable and viscous fluoropolymer with chemical stability is a highly desirable material for fabrication of microchemical devices. Lack of a reliable fabrication method, however, limits actual applications for organic reactions.

Dense Nanofibrillar Collagen–Silica Hybrids with High Strength and ECM‐Mimetic Tissue Integration
Dense nanofibrillar collagen–silica hybrids are engineered by synchronizing collagen fibrillogenesis with silica condensation, producing printable scaffolds that unexpectedly approach native extracellular matrix organization and strength. These cell‐free constructs guide endogenous cell‐infiltration, enable localized matrix remodeling, and integrate ...

Degradable Polyphosphoester (PPE) gradient copolymers (GCPs) are synthesized via one‐pot copolymerization. We show that GCPs self‐assemble into nanostructures like polymersomes, effectively mimicking the behavior of traditional BCPs. The gradient strength is key, with softer gradients favoring micelles.

Modelling of dimensional stability of fiber reinforced composite materials [PDF]
Various methods of predicting the expansion and diffusion properties of composite laminates are reviewed. The prediction equations for continuous fiber composites can be applied to SMC composites as the effective fiber aspect ratio in the latter is large
