Numerical study on propagation mechanism and bio-medicine applications of plasma jet
In this study, the propagation mechanism of plasma jet and some bio-medical applications are investigated by two-dimensional numerical model. The key equations of plasma physics and chemistry related with plasma jet are firstly introduced. The simulation

Methane release from warming-induced hydrate dissociation in the West Svalbard continental margin: timing, rates, and geological controls [PDF]
Hundreds of plumes of methane bubbles, first observed in 2008, emanate from an area of the seabed off West Svalbard that has become 1°C warmer over the past 30 years. The distribution of the plumes, lying close to and upslope from the present upper limit

KINETIC FEATURES OF MECHANOCHEMICAL DISSOCIATION OF WATER
In this work the hypothesis about the possibility of mechanochemical dissociation of water, subjected to mechanical stress, is experimentally confirmed. In the work the checkout and comparison of data, obtained from the kinetic characteristics of cluster

Toward the Mechanism of Ionic Dissociation in Water
We investigate the solvent effects leading to dissociation of sodium chloride in water. Thermodynamic analysis reveals dissociation to be driven energetically and opposed entropically, with the loss in entropy due to an increasing number of solvent molecules entering the highly coordinated ionic solvation shell.

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...
