In-situ reconstruction of Ni-modulated BiO2−x for boosting electrocatalytic nitrite reduction to ammonia

open access: yesNano Research
Electrocatalytic nitrite reduction reaction (NO2−RR) to synthesize ammonia (NH3) has been constrained by sluggish kinetics of water dissociation and the weak adsorption of nitrite.

Impact of Solvation on the Structure and Reactivity of the Co3O4 (001)/H2O Interface: Insights From Molecular Dynamics Simulations

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2020
The spinel Co3O4 has many beneficial properties for potential use in catalysis. In operando, water is always present and alters the properties of the catalyst.

Water in the 2001 General Assembly [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The 2001 Virginia General Assembly lasted from January 10 to February 24. The House of Delegates and Senate considered 2645 bills and resolutions. By our reckoning, 123 of these had something to do with water resources or water-related activities.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Synergistic Effects of Mesoporous Structure and Oxygen Vacancies in SnO2 for Enhanced CO2 Electroreduction

open access: yesSmall Science
Electrocatalytic CO2 reduction (CO2RR) into value‐added chemicals represents a promising strategy for sustainable CO2 utilization. This strategy relies on nanoscale structural engineering to gain desired CO2RR catalyst performance, which is ...
