Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Development of national extent terrain attributes (tanz), soil water balance surfaces (swatbal), and environmental surfaces, and their application for spatial modelling of pinus radiata productivity across new zealand

open access: yes, 2008
The most widely distributed and commercially important forestry crop in New Zealand is Pinus radiata D. Don. Until recently foresters have focussed on maintaining plantation management systems that are highly productive, while remaining sustainable ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Research articles published in water resources journals: A bibliometric analysis

open access: yes, 2012
[[abstract]]This study was designed to evaluate the global scientific output in the ISI subject category of "water resources" for the past 16 years. Data were based on the online version of the Science Citation Index Expanded, Web of Science, from 1993 ...

The comparison of macroinvertebrates and diatoms as two biotic indices of water pollution [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
The value of macroinvertebrates and diatom communities as monitors of water quality was studied at 25 sites in the North East of England. The aim was to compare and contrast the two methods on their benefits as environmental quality indicators.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

How good perform complementary evapotranspiration models? – A comparison of modeled versus measured evapotranspiration derived from eddy covariance estimates of latent heat flux

open access: yes, 2016
Actual evapotranspiration (AET) is a major component in the water balance of hydrological systems and accurate assessments are needed. Two complementary relationships have been used in this paper to estimate AET for a grassland experimental site, the ...

A Water Quality Index for the Black Water Rivers of the Amazon Region

open access: yes
A water quality index has not been developed for Amazonian blackwater rivers. In this paper, we used data collected in recent years to address this gap.

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected
