Assessing spatiotemporal characteristics of atmospheric water cycle processes over the Tibetan Plateau using the WRF model and finer box model

open access: yesScientific Reports
The Tibetan Plateau (TP) is the highest and one of the most extensive plateaus in the world and serves as a hotspot of climate change. In the context of climate warming, changes in evapotranspiration (ET) and external water vapor transport have a ...

Zein‐Based Adhesives: Sustainable Extraction and Application in Bioadhesive Technologies

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Zein is extracted from corn gluten meal using a simple and scalable process with high yield (~90%). The resulting protein is applied in bioadhesives modified with Ca2+ and Fe3+ ions, exhibiting substrate‐dependent adhesion. The findings demonstrate competitive bonding performance and highlight the role of ionic interactions in tuning adhesion ...

Isotopic composition of stratospheric water vapor: Implications for transport [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, 2001
We develop a series of models of transport in the upper tropical troposphere in order to explain the observed abundance and isotopic composition of stratospheric water vapor. We start with the Rayleigh fractionation process and add the effects of mixing and recirculation of stratospheric air through the upper troposphere.
