Diabetes‐Associated Cognitive Impairment: Pathophysiology and Emerging Therapies
ABSTRACT Diabetes‐associated cognitive impairment (DACI) is a common yet underrecognized condition, manifesting along a spectrum from mild cognitive impairment to dementia. DACI encompasses patients who develop vascular dementia (VaD) or Alzheimer's disease (AD) with diabetes as a risk factor; however, in certain patients, particularly those lacking ...

Wave Attenuation by Sea Ice in the Arctic Marginal Ice Zone Observed by Spaceborne SAR
Attenuation of ocean waves by ice is a crucial process of the interaction between waves and sea ice in marginal ice zone (MIZ), while such interaction can contribute to the retreating of sea ice in the Arctic. Based on the retrieved two‐dimensional ocean

Copine‐4 Paraneoplastic Autoimmune Encephalitis
ABSTRACT We characterize copine‐4 (CPNE4)‐IgG and report clinical associations. Among 844 samples with unclassified neural IgGs identified by mouse‐brain indirect immunofluorescence assay over 2 years, 5 samples (serum, 3; CSF, 2) from 3 patients produced a distinctive cerebrum‐restricted synaptic pattern.

Pore-scale modeling of pore structure effects on P-wave scattering attenuation in dry rocks.
Underground rocks usually have complex pore system with a variety of pore types and a wide range of pore size. The effects of pore structure on elastic wave attenuation cannot be neglected.

Extended plane wave expansion formulation for 1-D viscoelastic phononic crystals
The extended plane wave expansion (EPWE) method is formulated in order to obtain the complex dispersion diagram of bulk waves in 1-D viscoelastic phononic crystal solids considering the standard linear solid model (SLSM).

Attenuation of gravity waves in fast ice
The attenuation coefficients of sea waves in ice in the coastal zone of the Sea of Okhotsk with periods from 4 to 30 s were estimated as a function of their wavelength based on observations. We used the model dispersion relation for these waves in ice and calculated the theoretical attenuation coefficients.

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.
