Simple Scalings for Various Regimes of Electron Acceleration in Surface Plasma Waves [PDF]
Different electron acceleration regimes in the evanescent field of a surface plasma wave are studied by considering the interaction of a test electron with the high-frequency electromagnetic field of a surface wave.

Simulation of shoreline change using AIRSAR and POLSAR C-band data [PDF]
This paper presents a new approach for modeling shoreline change due to wave energy effects from remotely sensed data. The airborne AIRSAR and POLSAR data were employed to extract wave spectra information and integrate them with historical remotely ...

Advances in the development of dielectric elastomer generators for wave energy conversion
This paper presents a summary of recent progress towards the development and upscaling of an emerging class of electrostatic power take-off (PTO) systems for wave energy converters (WECs), called dielectric elastomer generators (DEGs).

Slingshot Resonance for Ocean Wave Energy Conversion [PDF]
The slingshot effect and its application to converting ocean wave energy are discussed. It is shown that, owing to the large inertia transported by ocean waves and their periodicity, the slingshot effect can result in the transmission of significant kinetic energy to a puck colliding elastically with a pusher plate driven by ocean wave motion.
