Study on Wave Loads during Steady-State Gap Resonance with Free Heave Motion of Floating Structure
Fluid resonance may occur in a narrow gap between two side-by-side vessels under wave actions, which can cause significant wave height amplification inside the gap and further induce large wave loads and motion responses of the vessel.

In this paper, hydrodynamic wave loads on an offshore stationary–floating oscillating water column (OWC) are investigated via a 2D and 3D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling based on the RANS equations and the VOF surface capturing scheme.

Experimental Investigation of Wave Loads on U-OWC Breakwater
A small-scale field experiment was conducted on a U-OWC incorporated into a caisson breakwater at the NOEL laboratory of Reggio Calabria (Italy). The U-Oscillating Water Column (U-OWC) or REWEC (REsonant Wave Energy Converter) is a device belonging to ...

Parametric study of nonlinear wave loads on submerged decks in shallow water
This study is concerned with calculations of nonlinear wave loads on submerged, horizontal decks in shallow water. Solitary and cnoidal wave loads on submerged decks are determined by use of the Level I Green–Naghdi (GN) equations.

Wave Loads On Hydraulic Structures
Hydraulic structures are essential for flood protection, water management and navigation in coastal, delta and lake regions. Their importance will continue to grow in the coming years and decades, because of two main factors. Firstly, because of the consequences of climate change and sea level rise.

Wave-current interaction effects on waves and their loads on a vertical cylinder
This paper uses a novel approach to investigate the effect of wave-current interactions on the wave loads on a vertical surface piercing cylinder in representative current and wave conditions in the North Sea wind farms.
