ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

Physical Experimental Study on the Wave Reflection and Run-Up of a New Ecological Hollow Cube
Implementing quadrangular hollow blocks on breakwaters is a common method for wave mitigation and ocean disaster prevention. In order to improve the wave-damping performance of conventional quadrangular hollow blocks, a new quadrangular hollow block is ...

WAVE RUN-UP CAUSED BY NATURAL STORM SURGE WAVES
This paper describes results of field measurements on wave run-up caused by storm surge waves. The measurements have been done with newly developed run-up probes at two locations at the German Bight with different dyke profiles. It was found from the results that the wave runup, measured under real sea state conditions, have greater values than ...

A Coupled Model for Wave Run-up Simulation
Simplified models like the shallow water equations (SWE) are commonly adopted for describing a wide range of free surface flow problems, like flows in rivers, lakes, estuaries, or coastal areas. In the literature, numerical methods for the SWE are mostly mesh-based.

Adult‐Onset Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis Presenting With Subacute Cognitive Deficits
ABSTRACT We describe the case of a 41‐year‐old man diagnosed with adult‐onset subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE). The patient presented with subacute progressive cognitive deficits and a neuropsychological profile indicating predominant frontoparietal dysfunction. MRI showed only mild parietal‐predominant cerebral atrophy.

On the transformation of long gravity waves on a sloping beach:
The transformation of long water waves arriving at a sloping beach is investigated. An approximate theory is presented for plane periodic waves propagating in water of non-uniform depth.

Numerical study on wave run-up height and depression depth around a vertical circular cylinder at various froude numbers [PDF]
The turbulent flow past a circular cylinder has been studied extensively by previous researchers due to its importance in many engineering applications. In particular, the wave run-up is one of the most significant design factors when offshore structures

Run-Up of Random Waves on Gentle Slopes
This paper investigates the following characteristics of run-up of random waves on gentle slopes experimentally: (1) the run-up wave energy spectrum, (2) the ratio of the number of run-up waves to that of incident waves, (3) the relationship between the representative run-up height, the deep-water wave steepness and the beach slope, (4) the run length ...

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

CFD Study for Wave Run-up Characteristics Around a Truncated Cylinder with Damper
In this study, numerical simulations for a single fixed truncated circular cylinder in regular waves were conducted to investigate the nonlinear wave run-up under various dampers and wave period conditions. The present study used the volume of fluid (VOF)
