Spectrum of compressional Alfvén waves
The Physics of Fluids, 1983The spectrum of compressional Alfvén eigenmodes localized in the potential well created by a combination of the variation in plasma density and the wavenumber k⊥=m/r is obtained, and its importance for radio frequency current drive is discussed. It is found that modes with small parallel wavenumbers and frequencies below the ion cyclotron frequency are

The Alfvén wave spectrum as measured on a tokamak
The Physics of Fluids, 1986The detailed experimental data obtained on the TCA tokamak [Proceedings of the 11th Symposium on Fusion Technology (CEC, Luxembourg, 1981), Vol. I, p. 601] concerning the antenna loading and wave fields as a function of the Alfvén wave spectrum are presented.

Journal of Hydraulic Research, 1973
An instrument is described which produces random signals with a variable, controlled spectral distribution. The noise is generated digitally in a shift register. The spectrum shaping is digital, but supplemented by an analogue filter of simple form. The instrument is used to reproduce random sea waves for model tests.

MILLIMETER WAVE SPECTRUM OF NITROMETHANE
Proceedings of the 71st International Symposium on Molecular Spectroscopy, 2016Abstract A new study of the millimeter wave spectrum of nitromethane, CH3NO2, is reported. The new measurements covering the frequency range from 49 GHz to 237 GHz have been carried out using the spectrometer in IRA NASU (Ukraine). Transitions belonging to the |m| ≤ 8 torsional states have been analyzed using the Rho-axis-method and the RAM36 program,

Propagation of Waves in the Spectrum of a Multimode Laser
Physical Review Letters, 1996We show that the longitudinally multimode class-B laser can behave as a chain of locally coupled oscillators, each being associated to one mode. Propagation of waves in the laser spectrum is demonstrated theoretically and experimentally in the case of a Nd-doped fiber laser.

Wave-number spectrum of electroencephalographic signals
Physical Review E, 2002A recently developed, physiologically based continuum model of corticothalamic electrodynamics is used to derive the theoretical form of the electroencephalographic wave-number spectrum and its projection onto a one-dimensional recording array. The projected spectrum is found to consist of a plateau followed by regions of power-law decrease with ...

Interaction of continuous-spectrum waves with each other and with discrete-spectrum waves
Fluid Dynamics, 1989The nonlinear problem of the evolution of an initial perturbation in Couette flow is solved in the quadratic approximation and it is shown that the energy of the initial perturbation is transmitted to the main flow so that its profile is somewhat modified. The evolution of the initial perturbation in a fluid with a very simple model flow profile which,

Investigation on millimeter-wave spectrum for 5G
2015 IEEE Conference on Standards for Communications and Networking (CSCN), 2015Mobile traffic is increasing exponentially year by year and it will be over 1000 times higher than that of today in the near future. In order to tackle this matter, millimeter wave mobile access networks which can provide several GHz bandwidth attract international attention.

The mm-wave rotational spectrum of dichlorodimethylgermane
Inorganica Chimica Acta, 2007Abstract The rotational spectra of three isotopologues of dichlorodimethylgermane were measured by free jet absorption millimeterwave spectroscopy. A partial r 0 structure was obtained. The barrier to internal rotation of the methyl groups is too high to cause splittings observable within our spectral resolution.
