Wavenumber-4 spectral component extracted from TIMED/SABER observations
The wavenumber spectral components WN4 at the mesosphere and low thermosphere (MLT) altitudes (70–10 km) and in the latitude range between ±45° are obtained from temperature data (T) observed by the Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission ...

Random Diffusion Model with Structure Corrections
The random diffusion model is a continuum model for a conserved scalar density field driven by diffusive dynamics where the bare diffusion coefficient is density dependent.

Low‐wavenumber Raman scattering in glycerol [PDF]
Analysis of the low-wavenumber Raman data of glycerol as a function of temperature is presented. For temperatures lower than the glass transition temperature the scattering intensity is interpreted on the basis of a model starting from the analogies between the density of vibrational states for the crystalline and the glassy phases and taking into ...

Wavenumber selection via spatial parameter jump [PDF]
The Swift–Hohenberg equation describes an instability which forms finite-wavenumber patterns near onset. We study this equation posed with a spatial inhomogeneity; a jump-type parameter that renders the zero solution stable for x <0 and unstable for x >0.
