Effect of Malocclusion on Response to Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulation for Obstructive Sleep Apnea

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, Volume 11, Issue 3, June 2026.
As hypoglossal nerve stimulation grows in popularity, it is of high importance to continue to follow outcomes in an effort to further identify factors that impact treatment success. In this study, we found that malocclusion was associated with lower rates of success with hypoglossal nerve stimulation.

Cost‐Effectiveness Analysis of Patient Self‐Management of Warfarin Among Patients With Non‐Valvular Atrial Fibrillation

open access: yesPharmacotherapy: The Journal of Human Pharmacology and Drug Therapy, Volume 46, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Patient self‐management (PSM) is a warfarin management strategy that allows patients to independently adjust their doses. PSM significantly reduces thrombosis events and has been widely implemented internationally. However, adoption of PSM is limited in the United States.

Effects of crosstalk in WDM optical label switching networks due to wavelength switching of a tunable laser [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
rosstalk caused by switching events in fast tunable lasers in an optical label switching (OLS) system is investigated for the first time. A wavelength-division-multiplexed OLS system based on subcarrier multiplexed labels is presented which employs a 40 ...

Integrated Hydrological and Hydrodynamic Modeling for Mountainous Flooding—A Case Study in China

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management, Volume 19, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Flooding in mountain regions has caused significant economic loss globally. Due to the complexity of mountainous flooding, that is, heavy runoff, landslides and debris flow, and limited monitoring data, it is extremely difficult to simulate and predict such events.

Multi‐Model Impacts of Dust on African Air Quality and Mortality Under Regional and Global Anthropogenic Aerosol Changes

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 131, Issue 9, 16 May 2026.
Abstract Decreases in anthropogenic aerosols will reduce fine particulate matter (PM2.5); however, meteorological feedbacks alter dust emissions, modifying air quality gains. We use eight Earth System Models from the Regional Aerosol Model Intercomparison Project (RAMIP) simulations to assess African climate and air quality responses to anthropogenic ...

A Wavelength-Division-Multiplexed Passive Optical Network With Simultaneous Centralized Light Source and Broadcast Capability

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2010
We propose and experimentally demonstrate a wavelength-division-multiplexed (WDM) passive optical network (PON) architecture with simultaneous centralized light source and broadcast capability. The proposed WDM-PON supports simultaneous delivery of 10-Gb/

A Comparison of Galacticus and COZMIC WDM Subhalo Populations

open access: yesThe Open Journal of Astrophysics
We present a comparative analysis of warm dark matter (WDM) subhalo populations generated by the semi-analytic model Galacticus and the COZMIC suite of dark matter-only $N$-body simulations. Using a range of thermal relic WDM particle masses (3--10 keV),

Minimāli pieļaujamā starpkanālu intervāla izpēte kombinētajās WDM sistēmās

open access: yes
Šajā darbā tiek izvērtētas iespējamās kombinētās WDM sistēmas realizācijas, kuru kanālos ar 10 un/vai 40 Gbit/s tiek raidīti dažādi modulēti optiskie signāli.
