Population dynamics of the leafhopper Psammotettix alienus Dahlb. and two-year investigations into the occurrence of Wheat dwarf virus (WDV) in crops of winter barley located in the Middle German Dry Region, Germany

open access: yesPlant Protection Science, 2002
From 2000 to 2001 the population dynamics of Psammotettix alienus Dahlb. were recorded using a sweep-net or a biocoenometer. The investigations were carried out in Zscherben near Halle (Middle German Dry Region). The imagines of the first generation of P.

Occurrence of Wheat dwarf virus and Barley yellow dwarf virus species in Poland in the spring of 2019

open access: yesJournal of Plant Protection Research, 2020
In the spring of 2019, many plants, mainly winter wheat, were observed to have dwarfism and leaf yellowing symptoms. These plants from several regions of Poland were collected and sent to the Plant Disease Clinic of the Institute of Plant Protection ...

Wheat dwarf virus infectious clones allow to infect wheat and Triticum monococcum plants

open access: yesPlant Protection Science, 2019
We constructed Wheat dwarf virus (WDV) infectious clones in the bacterial plasmids pUC18 and pIPKb002 and tested their ability to inoculate plants using Bio-Rad Helios Gene Gun biolistic inoculation method and Agrobacterium tumefaciens agroinoculation ...

Cationic mRNA Lipid Nanoparticles for Ex Vivo NanoCAR‐T Cell Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 24, 27 April 2026.
This study compares charge‑neutral and cationic lipidnanoparticles (LNPs) for ex vivo mRNA delivery to T cells, revealing distinctdependencies on medium composition and T cell activation. Where conventional LNPs benefit from ApoE‐dependent T cell targeting, cationic DOTAP‑modified LNPs mediate unspecific charge‑dependent transfection.

Assessment of codivergence of Mastreviruses with their plant hosts

open access: yesBMC Evolutionary Biology, 2008
Background Viruses that have spent most of their evolutionary time associated with a single host lineage should have sequences that reflect codivergence of virus and host.

An improved particle swarm optimization algorithm with adaptive weighted delay velocity

open access: yesSystems Science & Control Engineering, 2021
An improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) with adaptive weighted delay velocity (PSO-AWDV) is proposed in this paper. A new scheme blending weighted delay velocity is firstly presented for a new PSO with weighted delay velocity (PSO-WDV) algorithm ...

Anticancer Potential of Piericidin A1 and Derivatives Isolated From Streptomyces sp. Associated With Palythoa variabilis From Brazilian Reefs

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 4, April 2026.
A Streptomyces spp. strain, isolated from the zoantharian Palythoa variabilis, produces the complex I mitochondrial inhibitor piericidin A1 with effects on cancer cells proliferation and MTT‐formazan reduction at concentrations up to 0.1 aM. ABSTRACT Marine holobionts are an important source of bioactive natural products.

The implications of Panicum miliaceum in the viral epidemiology of cereals

open access: yesJulius-Kühn-Archiv, 2018
Common millet (Panicum miliaceum L.) is a spreading weed in Hungary, it can be found mostly on maize fields, but it has been investigated, that it is more and more often occurring in other cultivated plants, like potato, wheat, and other cereals.

Impact of surgery and complications on GI recovery after SBO: Insights from the SnapSBO cohort

open access: yesColorectal Disease, Volume 28, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Background Small bowel obstruction (SBO) is a common surgical emergency associated with impaired gastrointestinal (GI) function and prolonged recovery. The PRO‐diGI patient‐reported outcome measure (PROM) assesses patients' reports on key domains of appetite, nausea, bowel function, well‐being and overall GI function.
