Hopfield Neural Networks for Online Constrained Parameter Estimation With Time‐Varying Dynamics and Disturbances

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper proposes two projector‐based Hopfield neural network (HNN) estimators for online, constrained parameter estimation under time‐varying data, additive disturbances, and slowly drifting physical parameters. The first is a constraint‐aware HNN that enforces linear equalities and inequalities (via slack neurons) and continuously tracks the ...

Sliding Mode Observer-Based Phase-Locking Strategy for Current Source Inverter in Weak Grids

open access: yesEnergies
The current source inverter (CSI) has become the main grid-connected interface of distributed generation systems due to its advantages, such as boost capability, current controllability, and short-circuit protection capability.

The ILIUM forward modelling algorithm for multivariate parameter estimation and its application to derive stellar parameters from Gaia spectrophotometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
I introduce an algorithm for estimating parameters from multidimensional data based on forward modelling. In contrast to many machine learning approaches it avoids fitting an inverse model and the problems associated with this.

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Energy spectra stemming from interactions of Alfven waves and turbulent eddies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We present a numerical analysis of an incompressible decaying magnetohydrodynamic turbulence run on a grid of 1536^3 points. The Taylor Reynolds number at the maximum of dissipation is ~1100, and the initial condition is a superposition of large scale ...

Resonant suppression strategy of impedance remodeling for multi-inverter grid-connected system in weak grid

open access: yes电力工程技术
In weak grid, a multi-inverter grid-connected system may be simultaneously affected by large grid impedance and background harmonics. The interaction between inverter and grid is enhanced by the large grid impedance, resulting in resonance problems ...
