We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

A hard spot defect refers to structural defects that occur in long-distance oil and gas pipelines during the thermal processes. These defects arise from the combination of material phase changes and stress concentration, making them challenging to detect.

On deformations of quasi-Miura transformations and the Dubrovin-Zhang bracket
In our recent paper we proved the polynomiality of a Poisson bracket for a class of infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian systems of PDE's associated to semi-simple Frobenius structures.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Benchmarking E-Government: Global Trends and Digital Divide
E-Government, being a basic component in the public administration, is a crucial factor in setting up information communications between various branches of the state power and in ensuring access of community and business to public services in online ...

Spike-timing computation properties of a feed-forward neural network model
Brain function is characterized by dynamical interactions among networks of neurons. These interactions are mediated by network topology at many scales ranging from microcircuits to brain areas.

Homotopy (Pre-)Derivators of Cofibration Categories and Quasi-Categories
We prove that the homotopy prederivator of a cofibration category is equivalent to the homotopy prederivator of its associated quasi-category of frames, as introduced by Szumi\l{}o.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Divergent dynamics of surface water patterns and structures in Europe's coastal-zone basins
Surface water bodies are essential components of terrestrial ecosystems and play critical roles in sustainable development. Coastal-zone basins (CZBs), shaped by human activity and land–sea interactions, have undergone rapid urban expansion, landscape ...

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...
