This work investigates the wear resistance and nitriding behavior of PBF‐LB/M‐processed Osprey HWTS 50, a lean hot work tool steel. Three heat treatment conditions are compared to conventional wrought H13, H11, and PBF‐LB/M 18Ni300. The study highlights HWTS 50's enhanced nitrogen diffusion, deeper nitriding hardness depth, and comparable or improved ...

Morphology Modelling for On-line Wear Debris Monitoring
On-line Wear Debris Analysis (WDA) with its rapid fault detection capability in a non-destructive manner, has been increasingly employed in machine condition monitoring. However, the available debris features obtained from current on-line WDA processes are mostly restricted to statistical indicators due to the limited data quality.

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.

Role of temperature in tribolayers in fretting wear of γ-TiAl alloy
The formation of tribolayers may play significant influences on fretting wear. At elevated temperature, the adhesion among wear debris and the increased diffusion rate facilitate the formation of tribolayers.

The optimal interventional approach for necrotizing pancreatitis remains debated. We performed a systematic review with network meta‐analysis and proportional meta‐analysis to compare endoscopic trans‐gastric necrosectomy (EN), minimally invasive surgical necrosectomy (MIN), and open necrosectomy (ON).
