Fault-tolerant control of WECS subject to parametric uncertainties and sensor faults

open access: yes, 2011
International audienceIn this paper we propose a multiobserver switching control strategy for robust Active Fault Tolerant Fuzzy Control (AFTFC) of variable-speed Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS) in the presence of wind variation, grid disturbance ...

Population and Seascape Genomics of Perna canaliculus, the Endemic New Zealand Green‐Lipped Mussel

open access: yesMarine Ecology, Volume 47, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT Describing patterns of spatially‐explicit population genetic structure and connectivity is vital for well‐designed conservation or management policies for marine species. However, for species having high dispersal capabilities and large population sizes, describing significant genetic structure may be difficult.

Understanding the Link Between Policy Design and Distributional Impacts of Local Wind Energy Ordinances

open access: yesReview of Policy Research, Volume 43, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Zoning is one of the most widely used land use regulations in the U.S. An increasing number of local governments have adopted zoning ordinances to regulate renewable energy projects. However, there has been very limited research on the impact of this local regulatory tool.

A New Padé Approach to Modeling Wormholes in Dekel‐Zhao Dark Matter Halos

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 538, Issue 3, March 2026.
A matter‐first Padé strategy is introduced to build traversable wormholes from prescribed dark‐matter halos. Rational Padé fits approximately the Dekel–Zhao density and are analytically integrated to obtain a shape function that exactly reproduces the intended matter content, avoiding spurious poles of geometry‐first schemes.

Drone‐imaging assisted genome‐wide association studies reveal key quantitative trait loci for emergence and late blight resistance in tetraploid potato

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 66, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract Solanum tuberosum L. (potato) is the world's most important vegetable crop, and developing improved cultivars is paramount for global food security. The efficacy of the genomic prediction models that accelerate breeding and genome‐wide association studies (GWAS) depends on large, high‐quality phenotypic datasets, which are often associated ...

Wave power extraction by Multi-Salter's duck WECs arrayed on the floating offshore wind turbine platform

open access: yes, 2023
Integrating a floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT) and an array of wave energy converters (WECs) can be suggested as a proper new hybrid concept with the aim of more energy harvesting and lower total energy cost.

Analysis of a Novel Brushless Doubly Fed Reluctance Generator Based Wind Energy Conversion System

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 1226-1240, March 2026.
BDFRG based grid connected wind energy conversion system. ABSTRACT This paper presents a grid connected Brushless Doubly‐Fed Reluctance Generator (BDFRG) based wind energy conversion system. It offers a reliable and cost‐effective solution since its brushless and cage‐less rotor structure eliminates the need for slip rings, reducing maintenance costs ...

H∞ Fault Tolerant Control of WECS Based on the PWA Model

open access: yes, 2014
The main contribution of this paper is the development of H∞ fault tolerant control for a wind energy conversion system (WECS) based on the stochastic piecewise affine (PWA) model.

Research on the Carrying Capacity of the Water Environment Based on System Dynamics of Nanjing City, China

open access: yesSafety Science and Technology, Volume 1, Issue 1, March 2026.
The social and natural water circulation causal feedback relationship is established, and an SD model on water supply–demand and water ecological crisis is constructed. The GDP growth rate and the sewage treatment rate are identified as the key factors affecting the system.
