Dimensional Engineering of Wet‐Spun MOF‐Based Woven Fabrics for Superior Electromagnetic Wave Absorption

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This work fabricated MOF‐based woven absorbing fabrics with dimensional engineering via a wet spinning strategy. The absorbing fabrics achieve a reflection loss of −51.47 dB at 2.9 mm, with an effective absorption bandwidth reaching 3.54 GHz. The absorbing fabrics can be freely bent, stretched, and folded, with individual fibers exhibiting a break ...

Structural Optimization of 3D Braided Tungsten–Copper Composites via Active Learning and Finite Element Simulation

open access: yesMaterials Genome Engineering Advances, EarlyView.
An uncertainty‐aware FEM–GPR active learning framework efficiently explores the design space of 3D braided W–Cu composites, identifying architectures with higher yield strength and preserved electrical conductivity, whereas SHAP interpretation highlights yarn spacing in the braid plane as the key structural factor controlling composite performance ...

Effect of weft yarn twist level on mechanical and sensorial comfort of 100% woven cotton fabrics

open access: yesFashion and Textiles, 2019
Fabric sensory properties are complex concepts which include dimensional changes at small forces such as tensile, shear, compression and bending, surface properties (friction and roughness) plus surface coolness or warmness.

AUGURAL TERRITORIES: On the Prophetic Organizing of the Mid‐range

open access: yesInternational Journal of Urban and Regional Research, EarlyView.
Abstract In this article I introduce the concept of augural territories to theorize the urbanism that emerged during pandemic lockdowns. I draw on ethnographic research in Madrid to examine how community‐based responses—including mutual aid networks, food pantries and neighbourhood associations—disrupted the spatial and temporal logics of territorial ...

Tensile strength of weft backed fabrics woven with different weft yarns

open access: yes
In this study, weft backed fabrics were woven with weft yarns that are synthetic on one of fabric and the cellulose based, protein based, and certain blending ratios of weft yarns on the other side of fabric. Within the scope of the study, polyester weft
